Innovation in the Context of the Social Work Environment

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the role and significant of individual and organizational (institutional) determinants of innovation included in the perspective of the social work environment. Using the method of literature analysis of the subject, the research focused on selected aspects of innovation in the context of work processes. The range of analyzes and characteristics refers to psychosocial factors shaping the employees’ affirmative attitudes towards change and innovation. It also includes a functional and interactive context of innovation and knowledge in the enterprise as a social system. It shows the dependence between the modelled organizational culture and innovation. In a synthetic conclusion, indicating the main source of employee resistance to change and innovation, it outlines a flowchart of an algorithm for managing the change implementation process in an enterprise.
