Russian Adaptation of the Early Bulgarian Translation of the Typikon of Jerusalem (Ms RGADA, f. 381, № 45)

Summary/Abstract: The article examine a special version of the Slavonic translation of the Typicon if Jerusalem, represented in Russian manuscript from the Russian State Archives of the Ancient Documents (РГАДА, ф. 381 № 45). The comparison of this text both with four South Slavonic translations and with the Russian translation of the Typicon if Jerusalem shows that the examined text goes back to the first Bulgarian translation made on mt. Athos at the beginning of the 14th century. The appearance of this translation in Russia on the second half of the 14th century is caused by its provenance from this interethnic religious centre and it is connected with the so-called Second South Slavonic Influence on Russian literary tradition.
