Summary/Abstract: The object of the present research is the evolution of the radio theater in the Republic of Moldova, starting with the 50s of the 20th century, but also in the cultural-artistic education of the receiver. The approach is an introduction to the respective theme and it is based, as a rule, on the historical method of investigation with elements of aesthetic analysis of the theatre discourse of this type. Anticipating with a brief characteristic of the radio- theater, emphasis is laid on the context of the appearance and activity of the Radio Theater on the national radio in the years 1950-1960, when a creative and spiritual “disengagement”, specific to the respective period, was manifested. Actors from the “A.S.Pushkin and the “Luceafărul” Theatres performed the roles in the plays “Children and Apples” by C.Condrea, “Two Lives and the Third One” by F.Vidrascu, “Casa Mare” by I.Druta etc. that contributed to the affirmation of this dramatic verbal-phonic art.
