Summary/Abstract: This article presents a  real ‘industrial’ example, which was taken from my own experience, concerning the reconstruction of the series vehicle into a  rally car. The information flow, related to the design and upgrading has been analyzed, and the results are presented in the form of a matrix couplings (DSM). During the visualization of the relationships between the tasks, the iterative loops have been presented. The connections have been subjected to multi-criteria optimization in terms of time, costs of execution, feedback and intersections. Decision-making system was developed basing on mapping information flow process. In the execution of process optimization, the ‘Mag Project’ software with implemented genetic algorithm has been used.
