The Agile Form of Cooperation in the Functioning of ECTS Project Team – DB Fernverkehr AG Case Study

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the content and effects of the creation of agile project teams and their influence for the collaboration and functioning of inter-organizational projects. The considerations made in the article are both of literature and empirical. The first part of the article contains the essence of the creation of project teams and agile project management for inter-organizational activities. The empirical part of the article describes the case of entities cooperate in the implementation of information technology solutions for safety of railway operations in the form of the European Train Control System (ETCS). This example will be used to indicate the importance of creating agile project teams for inter-organizational project cooperation, especially in the international transport and logistics solution.
