Telematics System Supporting Road Transport Management in Enterprise Saltrans

Summary/Abstract: The article aims to analyze the implemented telematics system Poltrack and to investigate the impact of this system on the management of road transport in enterprise Saltrans. Today, the use of telematics systems is widely prevalent among companies providing transport services. They play a significant role in the traffic management. The effect of the telematics system for the traffic management in enterprise Saltrans is determined in the article with the use of empirical research methods. The analysis showed that due to the implementation of the system did not couse large costs, while the system significantly contributed to the improvement of the quality of work for employees of the transport enterprise. What is more, working with the programme allowed employess to familiarize themselves with the software features that enable i.a. constant access to vehicle location and remote downloading of digital data generated by the tachograph on the employees computers.
