Summary/Abstract: The expressiveness of the actor in the Moldovan contemporary theatre cannot be examined apart from its link with the basic trends of development of European theatrical art. In this context, it reflects the direction of development of the Moldovan theatre, influenced by two opposite directions, existing simultaneously. One vector is directed outside. The second vector of development of the expressiveness of actors is directed inward, towards the spiritual essence of theatrical art. It is related to the profound processes that have affected the dramatic art of Moldova, which has soared to the inner pillar, to the origins, to the original sources, from the depths of which the theatrical tradition grows, where the myth and ritual are indispensable.
