Summary/Abstract: Since Ancient Greece, the acting techniques have evolved throughout the history of the theatre, the diversity and componentshave expanded, the working tasks have changed. With the advent of the directoral theatre at the beginning of last centurya new round of developing acting techniques has begun. They have been perfected according to the historical period, the type oftheatre, the aesthetic accent, the model of the actor’s stage existence. Different figures from the theatre world have made theirown paths to their transcendentality: K. Stanislavsky, V. Meyerhold, M. Chekhov, L. Strasberg, S. Adler, A. Bogart and others.
