Summary/Abstract: This text deals with role of social movements in interpretation of law. Social movements are presented as actors bringing specific approaches to social values evoking potential social changes. In current we can distinguish some evidences of this impact. Of course there are many ways how can social movements influence the concept of law and picture of law in society. The article describes these ways and compares role of social movements here and in some other countries. Even in the Czech Republic - there are on one side deprecation of the possibility to be influenced by social movements presented in judge’s speeches. On the other side there is presence of words like liberalism, nocservatism, social justice and other in statement of their judgments. The article reflects this situation as well as the specific approach of judges towards social movements.
