Summary/Abstract: Many authors [Nelton 1998; Vera and Dean 2005; Dugan et al. 2008] argue that there is a need for a greater numer of studies that allow both to determine the characteristics, professionality and personality of women who manage family businesses, as well as their management style. It would also be important to describe how family businesses, managed by women, operate. The aim of this article (in the form of case study) is to present the history of women–daughters in the family business in Poland, who took over the company and run it successfully. According to Bukowitz and Hollander [1990], Salganicoff [1990] and Daily, Certo and Dalton [1999] the environment of family business becomes ideal for the professional development of women. The examples of Polish family businesses managed by women successors seem to confirm these assumptions.
