Summary/Abstract: Social and economic changes, technology development, and political changes are the main determinants allowing for distinguishing the diversified generations in the labour market. Family owned business by its nature hires mainly family members – mainly two generations in Poland. Family owned business at present faces a number of challenges posed by both generation change and age diversification. The said issues will be assessed in this article what is its main objective. This article describes the differences between certain generations, then the challenges faced by family owned business in the aspect of generation change are discussed. This article is based on the available references and secondary data.
