Summary/Abstract: Noam Chomsky, American linguist and social and political theorist, in his book Necessary Illusions: Thought Control in Democratic Societies, questions and analyzes through examples what the global media serves, what is the role of the state and private media, behind the global media, how it spreads propaganda, in order to grasp the ultimate goal of a global game under the guise of democratic relations. Where does the reality in our society begin, and where does the deception go? Is reality what is mediated to people through global media or are global media a means of misleading the public? What do we look at and what do we see? If sense perception is just one limited perception of the world that we, as human beings, can grasp, do we rule our senses or did we leave them to another?
