Competence of Future Managers in Family Businesses

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the competences of the manager of the future taking into account his entrepreneurial attitude. Next the competency profile of the manager of the family business was presented.In the empirical part of the article the results of research on the list of competencies for future managers necessary to effectively manage family businesses were presented. Competency profile of entrepreneurial manager of family businesses will be compared with the competence profile of the manager of the future. Knowing the requirements in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes of entrepreneurial manager one can examine how coming successors are prepared to fulfill this role.
