Summary/Abstract: This paper redefines the connotation of international business Chinese and expands the teaching object of international business Chinese from business specialists (professionals with business Chinese as occupation) to a wide range of foreign business people who are willing to cooperate with China. And according to the different stages of intercultural adaptation, the corresponding countermeasures are put forward for the teaching of business Chinese. Business people will go through different stages of cultural adaptation, during which the cultural teaching contents and methods should be catered carefully. In the first and second stages of cross-cultural adaptation, China’s political, economic, cultural, geographical and other aspects of knowledge can be integrated. To a wide range of foreign business people, teaching them the primary understanding of the basic information, knowledge about China and Chinese business and also basic language ability, which they need first. In the third and fourth stages of intercultural adaptation, in accordance with the requirements of professionals, they should follow the system of in-depth training.
