Summary/Abstract: Max Weber’s work Economy and Society published in Germany in 1922 is considered the most important sociological book of the XXth century. As this work of Weber’s deals with multiple topics as politics, economics, history, public administration, and it hasn’t been yet translated into Romanian, I’ve chosen in this article to translate and make a synthesis of the XIth chapter of Economy and Society (University of California Press, 1978) regarding bureaucracy. The chapter the synthesis I’m presenting can be found in the second volume between the pages 956 to 1003.
