Short Description
The Journal of Faculty of Law Oradea is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal, published regularly two times per year by Faculty of Law – University of Oradea.
Legal education was initiated in Oradea, in 1780 when an Academy for Philosophical Education was established in Oradea. After a long period, due to the efforts of several personalities, the higher legal education in Oradea, at the University of Oradea, was resumed in 1992. At present, the Faculty of Law, a member of the European Law Faculties Association - ELFA, is one of the faculties offering solid academic background proven by our graduates' professional paths, the educational offer including study programs in the fields of Law and Administrative Sciences.
The Journal of Faculty of Law Oradea was founded by the Faculty of Law in Oradea, with the support of the Center for Research in Legal and Administrative Sciences, as the previous publication of the faculty has ceased its appearance a time ago. Thus, it was considered necessary to set up a new periodical journal of the faculty, bringing together within its pages scientific contributions in the field of Law and Administrative Sciences, or works from other fields but which are relevant to the fields previously mentioned.
The mission of the journal is to publish high-quality contributions in Law and Administrative Sciences, in order to enable the dissemination of research among academics, students, as well as among members of Law professions and public officials. Also, theoretical contributions, case studies, or book reviews and high-quality contributions from students will be most welcomed. The contributions will be included in one of the sections of the journal: “I. Articles, Studies, Comments”; ”II. Reviews”;”III. Students’ papers”. In addition, the final section of the journal is dedicated to updating about the events in connection to Faculty of Law – Oradea.
All papers published are double-blind peer-reviewed. The language could be Romanian or English and the recommended length of an article is between 4 and 10 pages. However, longer papers can be accepted in exceptional cases, by Editorial Board.
The Editorial Board of The Journal of the Faculty of Law Oradea is led by Associate Professor Cristian Dumitru Miheş (Editor in Chief) and The Advisory Board including prestigious professors from Law faculties from Oradea, Cluj-Napoca, Timişoara (Romania); Debrecen, Miskolc, Szeged (Hungary); respectively Rzeszow (Poland) is directed by Professor Valentin Mirișan.
