School Violence - A Form of Violence Manifested in Contemporary Society

Summary/Abstract: The study aims to analyze the concept of school violence as a form of violence manifested in contemporary society and to identify the types of violent behaviors sanctioned by the Romanian criminal law, in an attempt to identify solutions to diminish / eradicate this complex phenomenon with multiple psychological, social determinations, cultural and economic and to manage the magnitude of the effects. From a theoretical perspective, the paper aims to identify the forms of school violence, continuous with the identification of the types of violent behaviors, the risk factors and the causes that generate it. The novelty consists in correlating the concept of school violence, its forms of manifestation with the different types of offenses sanctioned by the criminal law in Romania. The concern for the manifestations of violence, the dilemmas regarding the increase of crime and its causes, the strategies for preventing and combating these phenomena are topics of reflection for opinion leaders, politicians, journalists, teachers and, especially, for researchers from different fields of science, social and legal.
