Summary/Abstract: The paper Names of Romanian plants with restricted currency completes Romanian phytonymy from Dicţionarul etnobotanic by Al. Borza (1968) and Dicţionarul de fitomime româneşti by the undersigned (2007), with 1145 names of plants. These three papers consists of 17,590 Romanian phytonyms which belong to 3,159 species of native and exotic plants, wild and cultivated. These are completed by 2,800 terms which designated varieties of cultivated plants. We established, therefore, that the Romanian phytonymy includes 20,000 terms. The Romanian phytonyms from this paper are, in their majority, archaisms, regional terms, bookish phytonyms, adapted from dictionaries, manuals and botanical monographies; others have been gathered by the author from several localities.
