Summary/Abstract: Commander Witold Zajączkowski played a significant role in the development of the Navy of the Second Polish Republic. In this formation he held many responsible functions: he was, among others the director of science at the Naval Officer School in Toruń, commander of the Riverine Flotilla of the Polish Navy in Pinsk (Polesie) and the head of the Polish Naval Mission in Canada. After the war he remained in emigration in Canada.
