Summary/Abstract: Terms “adolescent pregnancy” and “underage mother” refers to young girls, who are pregnant or give birth to their babies before the age of 18. Currently, there is a lack of a comprehensive policy concerning underage mothers that would allow to support them in difficult socio-economic and/or legal problems. The purpose of this article is to discuss the issue of juvenile delinquency when it comes to young women who are already mothers in conditions of the isolation while, at the same time, fulfilling their obligations as mothers. In recent times, the aforementioned issues have been reviewed by justice professionals, sociologists, lawyers, and general public who concluded that they are both social and law problems. In the article, the author presents this problem in the context of the Juvenile Act of October 26, 1982, the Polish Civil Code and criminology, as well as puts forward proposals for changes in the law regarding the subject matter.
