Summary/Abstract: The Church is an icon of the Holy Trinity, which recreates on earth the mystery of unity in otherness. Just as the Three Persons of the Trinity are One God, and each of the Persons is fully personal, so the multiplicity of the members of the Church constitutes unity while simultaneously preserving their hypostatic individuality. The dogma of the Holy Trinity is a fundamental truth of the faith revealed to us by God. Only in light of the dogma of the Holy Trinity can we understand – who we are and God’s intention for us. Without faith in the Holy Trinity, it is impossible to be a member of the Church, or be a Christian. The Church, which is the mystical Body of Christ, the continuous Pentecost, and living Image of the Holy Trinity, is built on this faith. The Church is the life of God in man and man in God. This life is realized in a sacramental manner, starting with initiation in baptism, then continued in the Mysteries of the Church, among which the Eucharist takes a particular place, since it makes the Church the Body of Christ and completes all other Sacraments, rites and services.
