Equality as a Legal Category

Summary/Abstract: The category of equality represents the position of an individual in the society and state. The basic dimensions of this equality are legal equality, economic equality, equality of chances, civil equality and political equality. Legal equality consists of equality before the law (to treat the same way with the same and differently with the different) and equality of law (content of the rights standard). Law is the significant instrument of distribution of social equality (social compensations).
