Summary/Abstract: The events that preceded the signing of the Treaty of Neuilly (November 27, 2019) are traced, the causes and the internal political subjects related to the tragic Bulgarian final of the Great War are listed. The article also examines the 1919 claims of Belgrade, Athens and Bucharest, which, to the detriment of Bulgaria and other defeated countries, enlarged their territories without regard to ethnic and historical arguments. The author presents in a synthesized form the severe sanctions of the treaty, called the "corpse" by Prime Minister Stamboliyski, because of the cut off borders of the Bulgarian ethnic land.Keywords: World War I, the Treaty of Neuilly, the Paris Peace Conference, Paris, the Balkans, Bulgaria, Bulgarians, minorities, propaganda, sanctions.
