Summary/Abstract: The article presents the analysis of Pope Francis’ teaching regarding media information tasks. The research was carried out on the basis of the Pope’s messages for the World Day of Social Communication in the years 2014-2017. The analysis was conducted in the context of media-related literature. Media information tasks are a response to contemporary social phenomena related to media development, particularly of social media. The article shows relevance of the Church teaching in the field of social media theology.
