Summary/Abstract: The present paper examines job finding rates and job search duration among university and college graduates with pre-degree certificate. We hypothesize that labour market success is relatively high 1) among master-level graduates, 2) in informatics and technical fields 3), and the effect of institutions is the strongest in the fields of humanities, economics and business and social sciences. We test our hypotheses using the 2011–2015 waves of Graduate Tracer Survey. We find that 1) master-level graduates are more successful in terms of getting a job and search duration than bachelor-level graduates; 2) graduates in the fields of informatics and pedagogy face the best labour market prospects; and 3) the institution of graduation has the largest effects in the fields of economics and business, arts and social sciences. We argue that these results indicate incongruence between studies and the labour market needs.
