Summary/Abstract: Doing a research on gender based violence from a historical perspective, it is necesary to start with a collection of historical sources. Institutional sources do not allow to tell a personal story of women who had experienced violence, therefore it is necessary to collect and use different type of historical sources, and that is when oral history becomes a handy tool. It allows to show and investigate personal experiences and the relations between an interviewed person, the society and the state/politics of the time. This is a publication of two oral history sources, that is, two interviews with woman which were recorded in 2018 and 2019. These interviews tell a story about unwanted romantic attention and sexual harassment that Lithuanian women experienced in 1970s. According to current research, the narration of violent experiences might have a positive influence on personal healing, therefore it is believed that publishing such sources might have a therapeutic outcome as well. These interviews with women who had experienced sexual harrasment are published with the comments which show the importance of such sources for research the conducted by historians, sociologists, psychologists and other researchers from humanities and social sciences, and it might also become a part of collective memory and public interest, that helps to deal with experienced personal/collective traumas and move forward.
