Efficiency of the instruments of the european cohesion policy supporting the work of companies (on the example of the Lublin Province)

Summary/Abstract: In the article an appraisal of the efficiency of the instruments of the European Cohesion Policy is presented that is effected in the regional dimension in the Lublin Province. The appraisal was based on the studies of 443 entrepreneurs’ opinions. The appraisal of the efficiency of the cohesion policy effected on the regional level concerns four areas: supporting the cooperation between companies and institutions belonging to the environment of business; supporting local and regional partnerships in order to work out and implement the strategies of predicting and managing economic change; supporting the work of companies by specialist consultancy; and facilitating access to external financing sources for companies. In the conclusion recommendations are contained for institutions managing (mediating) European Union’s funds in the above mentioned areas in the Lublin Province.
