Summary/Abstract: This work is the conclusion of considerations related to the subject of communication in an assistance situation. The topic related to the communication aspect is very often taken up by specialists in many fields, but it is still a significant issue and there are no practical implications that would improve the situation. The work presents one selected projection method from the battery of questionnaires carried out from 2014. The study was attended by people at the age of emerging adulthood (19–26 years), most of them come from the Lublin province. Finally, the answers of 120 volunteers operating in the Volunteering Center Association in Lublin (Psychiatric Clinic) were taken into account. Research is both quantitative and qualitative. The results of the conducted analyzes may be included in the discussion on the definition and functioning of volunteering as a phenomenon that is still not in the interest of research in the social sciences. Volunteers are a characteristic group that deals free with a variety of assistance activities, with quality and commitment to the projects being implemented. Therefore, the work has a theoretical and practical dimension in relation to the attached elements concerning projection methods, with the help of which more information can be obtained from the research group. Sometimes correct communication at work, in the environment or in a family can allow avoiding many negative situations, including those related to suicide or self-mutilation.
