Knowledge of social campaigns regarding environmental protection among pedagogy students

Summary/Abstract: The subject of the paper is the knowledge of social campaigns regarding the naturalenvironment among students of pedagogy at the Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw.The article presents the results of research on the knowledge of names and issues of thecampaign conducted in January 2019 in a group of 100 people. The knowledge about thecampaigns turned out to be low. Most of the listed campaigns were known only to a smallpercentage of respondents. Even the campaigns carried out shortly before the study andwidely promoted by numerous posters in the city were known only by the few participants.The research leads to the conclusion that the interest among the pedagogy students ineducation for sustainable development, and in particular in the protection of the naturalenvironment is low and thus there is a need to include these issues in academic programs,especially in the curriculum of humanities and social sciences.
