Summary/Abstract: The Theology of Religions, or the attempt to know what the religions as a whole and singularly mean in relation to God and the history of salvation, is a typically Christian fact, since usually, among all religions, only the Christian is concerned with make a comparison and an evaluation of the others. The Theology of Religions, like any theology, starts from the datum of faith and is elaborated within the faith itself. Therefore it will not be a matter of observing, evaluating and comparing religious phenomena with the objective detachment of the positive sciences, but of facing the questions starting from an involvement of faith - of Christian faith - aware that fides quaerens intellectum, as Anselmo of Aosta rightly stated. The phenomenon of religions belongs to the history of the world and derives from it, moreover it concerns the human person. Therefore, theological reflection on religions should be initiated by indicating the theological- dogmatic understanding of the world and of the human person; in fact, the world as the creation of God, and man as the image of God, constitute the condition and the presupposition for the theme of religions.
