Summary/Abstract: About participation of Romanians to the (Roman) Catholic courses of Gymnasiums from Transylvania in eighteenth and nineteenth centuries least known in Romania, historiography phenomenon– although relatively high amplitude – is mentioned only intermittently when calling the biography of great Romanian personalities such as bishops Ioan Giurgiu Pataki, Ion Inochentie Micu-Klein, Peter Paul Aron, Ion Bob Andrei Saguna etc, or Gheorghe Şincai, George Bariţiu, Avram Iancu, Alexandru Papiu Ilarian, Gheorghe Lazar, Aron Pumnul etc. A significant presence of Romanian students at the Catholic Gymnasium in Targu Mureș is indicated by the original documents from county archives and gymnasium’s directories .
