EVOLUTION OF LEGAL PROTECTION OF NATURAL ELEMENTS OF THE ENVIRONMENT

Summary/Abstract: The subject of discussion is the evolution of legal protection of natural elements of theenvironment in the Polish legal system. The entry into force of the Constitution of the Republicof Poland, which normalized the issues related to the obligation to protect the environment andthe right to use its values, necessitated the development of a system act, which would also beconsistent with the law of the European Union in this respect. Legal protection of naturalresources of the environment must take into account the requirements in this respect imposed bythe European Union law, e.g. in the form of regulations or directives, which after the entry intoforce are, after all, a part of the national legal order.
