Summary/Abstract: Democracy is the most valued and also the vaguest of political terms in the modern world. Democracy is a word used frequently not only in the politics. In this contribution the author deals with problem of democracy and it´s forms especially in the age of media. It is impossible to present only one true definition what democracy really means. The author presents some different political and philosophical views of this fenomenon in the postmodern situation.
