Summary/Abstract: Dr. Bârlea was the first collaborator of Professor Bilaşcu after his arrival in Cluj, in 1919, for the foundation of Dental Education within the Romanian University of this city. Although he studied Medicine in Budapest, he remained attached to the idea of belonging to the Romanian nation. In the name of this idea, he worked continuously for the implementation of the Dentistry Discipline in the medical academic education, in his country. He fought for the sanitation of the dental sanitary network invaded by the unprofessional people who parasited and threatened the health of the population. He died at a young age, facing the unprofessionalism and injustice installed in the Romanian dental sanitary network.
