Summary/Abstract: The seventh edition of the National Symposium „Dimitrie Ghika – Comănești. In memoriam” eventuated on the 5th of August 2017 in the same esteemed and historic location, the palace of Dimitrie Ghika’s family, nowadays the Art and Ethnography Museum „Dimitrie Ghika” in Comănești, Bacau County, Romania. The event, dedicated to the evolution of the science and technologies in the twentieth century, was organized by Romanian Committee for History and Philosophy of Science and Techniques from Romanian Academy (CRIFTS), „Dimitrie Ghika‑Comănești” Cultural and Scientific Association (NGO), „Dimitrie Ghika” High School, „Europe Direct Comăneşti” and Comăneşti Town Hall. Every year, the event becomes more and more interesting and attractive, not only by the variety of the works presented, but also due to the participation of important people of Romanian science, culture and art. Personalities from the university and pre‑university domain, researchers, curators, officials, citizens of the city, joined the event. During the symposium there are some other activities going on such as: book launches, exhibitions, music and poetry performances, all sitting under the sign of rediscovery and promotion of the national and local values, traditions and customs.
