Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the present article is to present the settlements that were visited by the two brothers and where they stayed or may have stayed for longer or shorter periods of time. The document known by the title of Conversio Bagoariorum et Carantanorum dated at about 870 is taken as the main source. It numbers 31 localities with churches that were the destination of pilgrimages. It is very difficult, however, to identify them. Pannonia Inferior and adjacent areas are said to be a place where Methodius was active. Mosaburg was the centre of the missionary activity in Pannonia. That is why, as one might expect, most of the information is about that particular area. The question as to how Cyril and Methodius and their disciples got to Mosaburg is no less important. According to a map presented in 1994 by Tamas Bodiay, a Late Antiquity road passes along the Roman settlement of Valcum near Mosaburg. The mission bound for Moravia that crossed Kocel's domain may have stopped over for a rest where he was. It is known that following a request from Kocel Pope Adrijan II consecrated Methodius as bishop of Pannonia and archbishop of Sirmium. We do not know, however, where was his see as a bishop was. One may suppose that he spent most of the time at Mosaburg. As a bishop and archbishop Methodius must have visited the churches in his diocese. One may take into account also towns and villages where the churches were built as a result of the activity of the Slavonic apostles (such as the basilica of St. Clement on the island of Kövecses). On the basis of data available to us we can say that as bishop of Pannonia Methodius may have visited more localities than his brother Constantine-Cyril, who died in 869.
