HOW TO APPLY SAFETY AND HEALTH LEGISLATION AT WORK IN BULGARIAN ECONOMY ENTERPRISES

Summary/Abstract: This article brings out basic findings on the implication of the legislation on safety and health at work (OSH) in the enterprises of the Bulgarian economy. The analysis is based on the National OSH Profile (2019) developed under the Labor Conditions Fund commission. This is the first National Profile, which presents both current BG legislation and regulations in the field of OSH, as well as up-to-date empirical data on the application of the OSH legislation in the enterprises of the Bulgarian economy. Given the multifaceted nature of this type of analysis, the article focuses on key aspects that outline the implementation of OSH legislation and identify key issues needed urgent addressing with adequate governance policies.
