Summary/Abstract: The evolution in the geometric progression of the technical characteristics, the utility and use of information technology, the positive and negative effects of the intervention of the advanced computing technique in the social life can be quantified in different ways. Perhaps most important effect remains at the social level. We talk today about e-government, e-democracy, e-society in general.I think that, nowadays, we are going to a new stage. The premise of this new stage is the technical performance of a computer, performance that allows creation of a new entity - artificial intelligence. Last, but not least, the financial aspect - the cost reduction in the use of information technology is important.In this context, the European Commission was invited to examine the implications of all possible legal solutions, including the creation of a specific legal status for long-term robots, so that at least the most sophisticated forms of autonomous robots could have legally responsible electronic status.Furthermore, is the question of how to activate a criminal responsibility in situations in which acts are committed by autonomous forms of artificial intelligence.
