Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to provide information on the possibilities of implementing a formative assessment in the teaching of chemistry in the 7th grade of secondary school. Formative assessment tools for the topic of Mixtures were implemented in experimental groups by 5 teachers. Control and experimental groups were compared by a cognitive test consisting of 10 tasks focused on 4 levels of Bloom’s revised tax-onomy. Results were statistically evaluated.
