Summary/Abstract: Mediation even though it is an alternative procedure for conflict resolution, informal and non-contentious, nevertheless has a series of rules and principles after which the mediator is guided in the mediation procedure. These principles guarantee to the parties that all their rights are respected during the mediation procedureand the mediation is conducted under conditions of neutrality, impartiality and confidentiality.
