Conflict: tradition versus modernity on the example of food

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyze the mutual relations of tradition and modernity (novelty). The confrontation of these two categories often leads to conflicts of values and past arrangements with those oriented towards the future. The manifestations and consequences of this conflict are visible in the area of politics, society, culture and the economy. The article analyzes the nature of the conflict between ‘tradition’ and ‘modernity’ in the food sector. It emphasizes the different nature, intensity of the course and the main stakeholders of the conflict in this area in relation to other sectors of the economy.
