Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the poems „Ramses II“ and „Tiye. Queen of Egypt" as representative of the "Egyptian theme", which is rarely found in the Bulgarian literature. Nikolai Raynov interprets this theme in the spirit of Fin de siècle, with the inherent to him neo-mythology and psychologism, using the motives for the duplication and the eternal femininity. The writer creates true models of elegance from his poems, using the lavish techniques of the secession-decorative poetics (solar symbolism, floral and vegetative images, musical origin, dance, synesthesia, color symbolism, etc.).
