Summary/Abstract: Long ago elite sport became the most media and commercially attractive form of sport. To reach the elite competitive level, at least ten years of devoted and inten- sive training in particular sport are required. Women artistic gymnastics ranks among early specialization sports, where performance peak is expected between 16th and 18th years of age. In fact, it is a kind of children sport, literally speaking, so many ethical dilemmas on children rights and potential children abuse in sport context arise. In the paper different aspects of children abuse in women artistic gymnastics are ana- lyzed, from economic exploitation, physical and emotional abuse to denying children rights to grow up and educate properly. The first step towards humanization of chil- dren participation in elite sport is identifying potential abuses and defining responsi- bilities of all subjects.
