The theoretical aspect of the natural disaster. Study of the effects of selected natural hazards in the United States of America

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a literature review and a descriptive analysis of occurrence of selected biotic hazardsin the United States of America. It includes analysis of regions and states of increased risk of losses as well as diversityof life or health risk. The analysis serves as the basis for a theoretical academic discussion on the classificationof selected hazards as natural disasters. This analysis falls within the scope of Sendai Framework for Disaster RiskReduction 2015-2030 that covers biological threats.
