Semi-Predication and Speech Predication as an Onomasyological Problem

Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to a conceptual analysis of the notion of semi-predication. The notion of semi-predication was distinguished against the background of the notions of nomination and predication that are traditional in onomasiology. The author suggests that the scope of studied notion should be extended over nominative units of text. Such nominative units of text include, among others, word combinations and word forms. The approach proposed by the author is justified by inner semantic structure of these units that contains implied propositions.
