Summary/Abstract: The issue of fulfilling the contractor's obligation under the work contract includes primarily the contractor's procedure in the final phase of the obligation, established by the work contract, when the contractor is obliged to hand over to the client in time a duly executed work, which the client is obliged to take over. The legal regulation of the contract for work in the German Civil Code in connection with the handover and acceptance of the work protects the interest of the contractor in receiving remuneration for the work in the shortest possible time, while it contains some elements that are still foreign to Czech law and de lege ferenda.
