Summary/Abstract: Preaching the Word of God is the fundamental role of the Church. This duty is included in the mission of a priest who as the servant of the Word of God is the first person to accept It, believe in It and live according to It. He is also responsible for announcing It and being Its minister. The Word of God is the source of the formation of the priesthood, while the priest himself is the God’s voice and the servant of His words. Preaching the Word of God is one of the pillars of the priestly service as well as the priority of the priest’s mission and the soul of the priestly apostolate. The surface to carry out these tasks is the new evangelisation, school and parish catechesis.
