Summary/Abstract: Saint Spiridon parish in Comanesti dates from 1815, one of the most important spiritual institutions of Trotuş Valley area. For 50 years of the twentieth century, archival documents reflects increasingly more changes specific for political and economic establishment and strengthening of the communist regime. On besides there are present concerns about the management of the affairs of the parish, community involvement and religious aspects specific Orthodox parishes. From the documents can be seen transformations of political, economic, cultural and spiritual, changes inherent in the transition to a new stage in the evolution of Romania.
