Summary/Abstract: Colonel Petru Casapciuc was a Soviet officer in the engineer troops of the USSR Army. After retiring in 1991, he was reactivated in the NationalArmy of the Republic of Moldova. Together with other Romanian-Moldovanofficers, he brought his contribution to setting engineer units, drilling and combat training of reserve soldiers and non-commissioned officers, participating in incombat missions in Nistru areas. During the war with separatist Transnistria, in1992, he conducted specific engineer activities in Bulboaca base and battle areasCocieri - Dubăsari - Coșnița - Chițcani, participating in mining anti-infantry and anti-tank fields and building fortified positions in the combat areas.
