Development in dispute settling in GATT and WTO

Summary/Abstract: It is generally accepted that international dispute settlement law and other means of redress are not as well enshrined in international law as the substantive rules governing the conduct of States, and not at all as similar national law in this area. Are such claims substantiated? International law has a number of options for resolving disputes, and if international law cannot be fully compared with dispute resolution at national level, it can at least be said that there are areas where international dispute resolution mechanisms work surprisingly effectively.
